g580 warranty finishing on wrong month

Good day my Lenovo solution centre says my warranty is finishing on the 22nd of April when in fact I bought my laptop new brand in may from Amazon and received it on the 6th of may can this problem be resolved thanks in advance .

Hello and welcome,

 

A Lenovo warranty defaults to starting on the date of manufacture.  Machines purchased direct from Lenovo usually show the full 12 months (or whatever) plus a little.

 

Machines that have been sitting in a reseller's inventory will show the warranty as partially expired.

 

Call support and be prepared to email a proof of purchase.  This is fairly common and should be easily fixed - although it may take a few weeks to show up correctly.

A copy of your electronic receipt showing model and serial number should suffice - an invoice from amazon.

 

It is also worth noting that there are instances where LSC shows incorrect warranty dates.   I would double check manually first by putting in your system serial number here on our support site.

If the dates shown there match your records, then you are all set - that data feed is what support will be going by.  If it is off also, then it is worth contacting support and sending in the proof of purchase to get the dates adjusted.
