lenovo 3000 g430 last bios version

Hello

I have lenovo 3000 g430 notebook (with core2duo 7350 modification) and I need to update my bios.

My current bios version is

Version: 0CCN31WW(V1.04)
Release Date: 06/25/2008

I've found only that

http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/lenovo-g-series-laptops/lenovo-g400-no...

is it my last version of bios or not?

thank you

Re: lenovo 3000 g430 last bios version

Hi conquistador, welcome to the forum.  Smiley Happy

To find your support page, go to this link:

https://download.lenovo.com/eol/index.html

Then enter these parameters in the search box:

G430.PNG

The last version of the BIOS is 0FCN52WW and it's for Windows Vista.

Cheers

Re: lenovo 3000 g430 last bios version

Thank you very much

But I don't understand in values of models?

In my link I have bios for "G400 lenovo", is it specific model number or family number?

I've just changed broken memory ddr2-667 to ddr2-800, does my bios correct support this frequency.

Memtest shows correct frequency - 800, but dmidecode shows speed 667.

dmidecode gets information from bios, is it bios problem?

Hi,

Your link for the G400 is the wrong model. Use the info/link I gave you for the correct model.

I don't have any knowledge about your RAM memory. Perhaps some other user can help you out with this issue.

Sorry. Smiley Sad

Cheers

Re: lenovo 3000 g430 last bios version

No, no, thank you for your help. it'is very usefull...

Unfortunaly my model isn't supported anymore and I don't think that bios updating will help me to set necessary frequency. I think ddr-800 was locked by lenovo and I should look for a decision in tweak tools...
