lenovo g50-80 ram issue after upgrade

i have 8gb ram (2*4) 


but when i scanned my system through intel driver update ,it showed me only 4.81 gb is available ?

why cant i utilise the full ram , it seems no difference even with 8 gb ram ,

Ram is memory.  Why use a INTEL utility to analyze ram?   They offer INTEL OPTANE memory which is not memory anything at all. It is a M.2 2280 pci/e 3.4 stick to boost a what, HDD!.


State your machine type and model and current OS, x32 x64 and did you add new memory lately?

Win7 maxs 4GB memory, rest is dumped in Hardware reserved, ie not useable.


A CPU-Z shapshot of your 8GB memory would be nice for diagnostics. 



Post screen shots of the SPD tab. Downclick for slot 1,2,3,4.  Most will be empty, 2 will have memory.

Add the MEMORY tab screenshot and the CPU tab screenshot.

Check the windows "system" applet... Right Click on the windows start button, then select "System" from the list.

When the app opens, check on the amount of memory shown, and what type of Windows OS you are running, especially if it says 32bit or 64bit.
