Hi sub2001zero ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
BIOS passwords are board imbeded that usually ends up with replacing the systemboard.
As per hardware manual (page 24) :
" Attention: If the SVP has been forgotten and cannot be made available to the servicer, there is no service procedure to reset the password. The system board must be replaced for a scheduled fee."
As similarly discussed in this thread:
" If you can not remember the BIOS password then your only option is to replace the motherboard. Lenovo Support does not have a master password or back door in which to get you inside. Keep in mind that the BIOS password are case sensitive. You may have used capitol letters as well as smaller case letters when you created it. You may have also used special characters such as: *, ?, -, &, etc. Due to the ease in which laptops can be stolen, further discussion on circumventing passwords is prohibited byForum Guidelines. "
Hope you can get to remember your old password.

Hi I think more of a hard drive password. I put a used hard drive and reload windows and works great. I would like to get the old stuff off the hard drive and will save me a little time load all the drivers.

Hi sub2001zero ,
That is a very good news , I thought it was a eeprom bios password issue as initially indicated.
At least with the harddrive , it does not cost as much as a motherboard .
You may also come across either the harddrive manufacturer tools or other third party tools as claimed in some discussions or google search on harddrive password removal .
Im sure the information would be important for you so I would suggest data recover centers / techs to do it for you as I am sure they would have similar tools.

Hi sub2001zero .
That is a good search with the tools. If that failed you can review other similar tools that people have better success. I can't direct you to which would work since it would depend on different variables and forum guidelines on password.
Thanks for the update as it may also provide reference to fellow members in our community .
