 recover program onekey recovery b50-80ew

Good morning, I accidentally deleted the program that I mention; I have entered the official website to try to download it but I can not find it. Can you tell me how I can install this program without having to format and start the computer from scratch?

Hi rjgtijola,

Yes it is highly possible that there would be data lost so it is always advised to backup your personal files before any service.

Once you have your backup then maybe you can consider the options provided above. This would give you a fresh start on your machine and applications the way you want it. If the OKR via novo button fails, then I suggest calling tech support.

Regards

Hi rjgtijola,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Depending on how you got it deleted, if you reformat or repartition the harddrive then it may no longer be recoverable as discussed here.

If you have just deleted the software within Windows then you can try shutting off the machine. Use the novo button hole (item 3 page 10) to power on the laptop. This would show the Novo Menu that offers System Recovery > One Key Recovery (page 23) from initial backup that can restore everything on the C drive including Windows, drivers and softwares that came with the machine.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

I understand, but if I follow these steps that indicate at the end will install the copy that was last or failing that come by default to the day of purchase.

Hi rjgtijola,

How did you delete OKR?

One Key Recovery re image the C drive from the hidden partition that was created all the defaults certified upon release from the factory. This was its original purpose.

You may also try checking listed apps and drivers if there is a D drive or if the One Key Recovery tool via Novo Menu offers drivers and apps reinstall. Otherwise you can look for specific download files like this as alternative.

Regards

I deleted it by unzipping the program. The partition exists; but not the program. I tried to see the possibility of downloading it again from the web (the program only), but I do not have that function.

Hey there, rjgtijola!

Another help here. Based on what you have explained, it seems like the Lenovo OneKey recovery tool is no longer on the hard drive of the B50-80. The only way to get it back into the system is by sending the laptop to the Lenovo Service center and request to re-image the whole system back to original settings. You may check the list of the Lenovo Service provider here https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht118678?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 and inquire about re-imaging the laptop to original state.

Regards,

I know you've marked your problem as solved, but I had a similar issue and thought this might help someone. OKR failed to install for some reason when I first got my Yoga 710-15ISK 2 years ago, and I got an error message about OKR each time I tried to do a System Update from the Lenovo Vantage app.

I decided to do a search of my C:\ drive today and found the location of the installation file for OKR. There is a setup.exe file located in "C:\ProgramData\Lenovo\ImController\SystemPluginData\LenovoSystemUpdatePlugin\session\Repository\okr4706w10.xml" on my system, and I was able to install the program from that file. I ran the System Update again and installed a critical update for OKR that showed up.
