track pad sensitivity - G585

2013-03-06, 3:17 AM

Hi,

Not sure if im posting this to the wrong place please redirect me if this is the case.

My dad has a lenovo G585 running windows 8. The track pad is way too sensitive, when he trys to move the pointer he accidentaly clicks on items.I also have similar difficulties, but his hand injury accentuates the problem.

Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity? is there a way to turn off the click option for the trackpad?

Hi overseame,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Lenovo Community,

I’d like to provide you with the link for the touchpad drivers can you try to install it back:

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS031373

After that you can type on the start menu: Mouse and then properties and then please press on the tab which is Pointer Options and under this tab you can change the speed of the Pointer from slow to fast.

Hope the information helps. Let us know.

Regards

Soha
