recommended RAM for desktop J115 7387?

2009-02-19, 4:39 AM

I have 1GB right now and want to upgrade to 3G or 4G.  It looks like I only have 2 slots for RAM when I open the case.

What is the recommended RAM model that would allow me to upgrade my machine to 3 or 4GB configuration ?

Thanks in advance

FJZ

FJZ:

A week ago, I purchased  2 ea., G.SKILL 2GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2-6400) Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5S-2GBNT - Retail   Item #N82E16820231203 from Newegg.com.  The cost was $33.98 (for two sticks, 2GB each) plus shipping.

My system is the J115,7387 A32 and I am running Vista Home Premium.

My system recognizes the full 4GB and swapping out the old 512MB sticks was no problem.  If more info is required, go to GSKILL.COM, the folks that make the memory.  They have a terrific support site and your questions will be answered ASAP.

This memory swap is very easy and worked just fine.  Good luck.

Frank
