I have bad sectors on one of my hardrives. If the server restarts (as from an upgrade) it hangs up and will not continue to reboot. Is there a utility that I can run to repair the harddrive while mounted in the server? If I try to unmount that particular drive it will go about 75% through the process and then hang up for about 2 to 4 hours and then error out.
Shut the D400 down, physically remove the drive, and start it up again. You should then be able to remove it from the pool. If you have your shares duplicated they will be fine, but any backups with data on that drive will be gone.
