Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. In 2007 I bought a Lenovo 3000 J Series, model 7387 A11. Last weekend my hard drive began failing to the point that it wouldn't let the machine boot. So I bought a new PC and hooked up the failing hard drive to it as a secondary drive. With much coaxing and rebooting I managed to copy all the files on the main partition of the failing hard drive to my new PC's primary hard drive. Yea!
But now I've bought a new hard drive to replace the failed one in Lenovo machine, and am stuck at the stage of getting the machine to recognize the new hard drive, since it has no operating system.
I read on one of these threads that one option would be to call Lenovo and ask for reinstallation disks for the Windows Vista operating system. So I called the phone number, but the message there says that since I'm out of warranty I should try to get help on the Lenovo website. So here I am.
Can you help me?
