After a bit of research i can't conclude if the max RAM is 12GB(4+8) or 20GB(4+16). I have seen different answers. I want to buy a 16GB, but came here first to ask.

As shown in the product specifications (page 2 of 7) of Lenovo V15 ADA laptop, it is stated that the max memory are the following:
• Up to 8GB (8GB SO-DIMM) DDR4-2400
• Up to 12GB (4GB soldered + 8GB SO-DIMM) DDR4-2400
For the list of compatible memory that you can use for your system model, kindly refer to this link (click on Machine Type, under Commodity Type, select Memory).
Once you already have your preferred memory and you wish to proceed with performing the RAM upgrade by yourself, please refer to the laptop's hardware maintenance manual. Please take note that we only recommend the DIY method if you're comfortable in upgrading the component otherwise, you may reach out to the Technical Support Team in your region or bring the machine to the nearest authorized service center.
