Argh! What happened to Ideapads? (N581)

2012-10-20, 22:33 PM

Hi!

Had a N581 shortly, and theres less Status-LEDs.

Why did Lenovo don´t have a HDD-LED? To expensive?

Yup it is true but lenovo is trying to change its design slowly and steadily. In other u series p series the lites are not there. If you are keen to know hard disk activity, then you might want to use a third party software

Thanks for the answer

But I don´t want to use an speial SW, a HDD-status-LED is a basic feature for me.

After 2 Lenovo (Z560 and G770) I have to take a look at the competition :(

Or did Thinkpad Edge 535 still have many Status-LEDs?

Thinkpad edge 535 doesnt have the hard disk activity too. Quite dissapointing for me too.

Just checked the page 9 of the user guide of the thinkpad

2 bad :(

I think a HDD-LED should not be a problem for a company like Lenovo.

I think it is because of the new ultraboks and stuff maybe. But i agree with you. If the battery led can be there then why not the hdd led?
