Cannot boot after BIOS update - 3000 N100

2013-04-02, 22:54 PM

Hello,

I'm new here and i have a problem with my N100 notebook,

Today I update BIOS to newest version. I download it from lenovo page and installed them by using windows software(winphlash). I get communicate telling me that everything goes OK, after that computer reboot yourself.

After this operation I can't boot my laptop normally. When laptop is turning on I see only white board, but I can enter to BIOS. When I try to click F12 I'm getting only black screen. I try to unplug my HDD, but nothings change.

I try to load optimize default settings, but nothings change either.

Please help me, it's a notebook of my girlfriend :).

Best Regards,

Daniel

Hi

Welcome To Lenovo Community

We are really sorry to hear about the issue you are facing,

Please try disconnecting all cable from the unit , Now press the power button for 30-40 sec then release , perform this action 4 -5 times , now connect AC adaptor  to check  by powering on and booting ,Now enter into bios and load bios defaults by pressing F9 button , also ensure the SATA option under storage is set to AHCI  or  IDE mode ,Now save & exit by pressing F10 button

Do give this a try and let us know

Hope This Helps

Cheers!!!

Thanks for response,

I did like you wrote and nothings changed. I don't have a battery on my laptop so I do it in two ways with plugged AC Adapter and with unplug.

I saw interesting thing, when I change value in quiet boot option to disable, I can enter BIOS by clicking F1 button. When this option has value enable, after taping F1 button everything is frizzing with a white board on screen.

I don't have any option in BIOS about SATA mode, I think it was AHCI, because I had a Vista OS on this computer.

What can I do else to rescue this laptop? Please help me.

Best Regards,

Daniel

try to remove battery and ram sticks, then replace it.

also set default settings for bios, save and exit.
