Lenovo n23 80UR m.2 drive

2017-12-21, 3:03 AM

When opening the bottom case of the laptop I noticed a pcie m.2 slot  (one large set of pins and one small one) and attempted to install a 128gb pcie m.2 drive but it was not detected by the bios or windows. Is there a specific drive that I need or is it impossible to install a drive in this computer? Thank you for any help!

This Winbook has 32GB drive.  Windows, after updating to only 1703,  have 2.3 GB left.  Not even enough to update to 1709.  What am i supposed to do?  Why does this device ship with 1511?  It took 6 hours for it to get to 1709.  When I buy an new computer, I shouldn't have to work on it for half a day before I can use it, and I cannot even use it.  It should not try to be a Windows computer with only 32 GB memory.

I got into the same issue. If you clean everything to extreme....new windows 10 update could be updated through “external USB drive” and around 8 GB internal space. I also adjust page file size to almost minimum ....finally it worked and windows 10 update passed. It took a while - almost whole day for the windows update finishing it.

I had same experience on N23 and it got solved a while ago. The newer version of Windows Update allows you to have external hard drive as temp-use storage on update - so my N23 now is running the latest Windows 10 Pro (1909) OS build 18363.836

I am still searching how I could upgrade the internal hard disk storage but no luck for now.
