Re: V510-15IKB Laptop Freeze

@ouwerlord You mean 2WCN41WW? This is the current version but it does not fix the freeze.

All versions ending in WW are problematic.

I select no to install any BIOS update until a official fix for the freeze is announced. Probably this will be in the version 2WCN42WW or later. Until then, stay with the safe 28RS.

I know 2WCN41WW is the newest version, I had it before I flashed 28RS, but the one I have now is 2WCN29WW. I wasn't even asked if I want to update it and it wasn't done by Lenovo Update app. Windows 10 started updating itself and when it was done I had BIOS version 2WCN29WW. I'm wondering how could this happen?

Indeed it's a mystery. For over one month now my windows update have not offer a bios update. But I don't know how you can "Select what updates to install" in windows 10.

I think you can't and that's the problem. I flashed the 28RS once again and I'm hoping windows won't force another update like this one.

@willhunting what is your OS?

These settings work for me with 2WCN28RS + Windows 10Pro without freeze.

Hi;

1) The new version of lenovo BIOS 2WCN41WW solves the problem?

'

2) The link to 2WCN28RS has expired, can upload again on mega or somtehing like that?

Thanks a lot.
