I' not really sure what you mean by that? Was the option to rollback BIOS missing in the previous versions?

My message refers to the possibility of a rollback and not just the option. Sorry my English got rusted. I'm afraid I have to go and may check back later.

I was referring to the service in general, I don't have any information about a specific technician who would have more information on this symptom. I think that the service would primarily try to replace the motherboard, but since users have already been offered a refund, the motherboards to replace the faulty ones might not be on stock anymore.

No worries. Its not uncommon that there are several waves of security fixes rolled out with a BIOS update for a specific machine during its lifetime. If that happens, rolling back to a previous BIOS version before those security fixes were in place is not possible. This is common across all manufacturers and is nothing specific to Lenovo or our BIOS releases.

Due to your Bios Version there is nothing you can do except from installing the latest drivers for the device and keeping the operating system up to date. There is a chance that changes in driver or os could minimize or in the best case hopefully even eliminate the crashes. In my case crashes decreased a lot.

I also have same model and same issue. In my case, not a single freeze happened while charging with adapter. Freeze occurs only when on battery power. It is strange that some people in this thread have the opposite case (freeze occurs only on battery power). Now I am forced to keep my charger plugged in all the time but it is working for me.
