v510z HDMI 4K output

2018-01-16, 13:32 PM

Hello everyone!

I have Lenovo v510z (AIO 510) and 28" AOC 4K monitor.

Problem is that under Windows 10 HDMI output do not work in 4K resolution. I've installed latest intel video drivers - no effect. Made system clean install - no effect - no such resolution in mode lists. v510z have intel HD 530 graphics chipset? so it MUST support 4k mode.

By the way, under Ubuntu or Xubuntu live CD's everything work fine - I watched youtube videos in UHD.

Can anyone tell me what should I try to make this (piece o) masterpiece work under win10pro correct?

This may help:

There are instructions over Internet how to add new resolution in Intel driver manually.

Maybe some lower frequencies needed.

Me for particular V570c with Intel HD 3000 onboard had to use
3840x2160@24Hz
or something.
2560x1440 was also unavailable, so I added something like 2560x1440@30Hz.
