3000 N100 Resuce and Recovery Issue

Hello,

When try to perform "restore your system", I begin the restore, and get to the point where the screen says "Processing CE00AUS.SWM" and the system just hangs with no visible progress. I click cancel after waiting quite a while, and I receive and error box with a title: "iuimagex". There is a red X and the message reads "Data error (cyclic redundancy check).

Even worse, now. When I try to restart the computer normally into Vista Buisness, I get the windows failed to start screen referencing the following

File \windows\system32\winload.exe

Status 0xc000000f

Info The selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

SAGE Dining Services

Bump.

""""" There is a red X and the message reads "Data error (cyclic redundancy check)."""""

Possible bad hard drive.

Re: 3000 N100 Resuce and Recovery Issue

I am getting a similar error on my R61 Thinkpad while running the recovery process from a recovery CD I purchased directly from Lenovo. The error is occurring while processing CCL1AUS.SWM and an error message labeled iuimagex pops up with the message "The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."

If anyone has encountered this, what was your fix? If the recovery software should be used for wiping out problem files, why is the recovery system not wiping out this corrupted file? Thanks.

Re: 3000 N100 Resuce and Recovery Issue

I'm having the exact same problem with my X61 Thinkpad. It is now unusable. I have checked the hard drive thoroughly with built-in utilities and Spinrite and it seems to be OK. I suspect that the rescue files were corrupt on installation by Lenovo.

Re: 3000 N100 Resuce and Recovery Issue

Hi

Finally, I found a way to solve this problem.

Just removed an extra RAM that was added to the laptop. I think the original OS from the factory could not recognize the change in ram and that is why it gave the message.

If  made any upgrade to the hardware just undo it and try to restore the system.

Wish u luck.
