2019-10-10, 18:01 PM

Hi ,

Welcome to the Community Forums!

How did you update the drivers? Did you use the Lenovo Vantage app?

See if you can roll back the driver. Go to the Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices > right click Lenovo/Synaptics Pointing Device > click Properties > Drivers tab > Roll Back Driver > select OK.

Let us know how it goes.

Regards,
Maru

I have the same issue on my laptop, Windows 10, however I don't have the below path under my device Manager.

Please help.

Device manager- Mice and other pointing devices - right click Lenovo/Synaptics Pointing Device > click Properties > Drivers tab > Roll Back Driver > select OK.

Thank you.

In device manager somewhere in the above options there is a setting to show hidden devices. Once toggled on try again. If that doesn't work and all is takeing too long for you consider reinstalling windows. If after a reinstall it still doesnt work or show up you'll need to buy a new touchpad module.

I have the same problem with my IdeaPad c340-14IML. I updated my drivers with the third party application driver booster, and now the touchpad is broken.

I can't find the mentioned path even with the "show hidden devices" option turned on:

I would like to manually reinstall the touchpad driver, but the Mouse, Pen and Keyboard section of the drivers download page for my device only provides a pen driver and no touchpad driver.

No problem, i have a C340 myself, just an API model but the drivers are usually the same, i'll make a dump of my current drivers, so you can install them from my system.

just give me some time to make the dump and to upload it.

Hi there, i've made a backup for you.

there are some steps you'll need to reproduce, the easyest way is to install ALL of my drivers, which should be almost the same

except for CPU/GPU configuration * but windows 10 should automatically over-ride this anyway since im on Ryzen.

To start, download my .zip file from google drive i've zipped the program i used to make a backup, and u can also restore from it.

Click here to download my .zip file for you.

Follow these steps:

1. Download the zip file

2. Unzip the zip file

3. Run DrvBK.exe (not other files)

4. In the top of the program, below Language is 'restore' which is what we need to press.

5. A new dialog opens, 'open backup file' for the same folder ur in right now and select the .bki *Backup 05-03-2020 C340-API.bki*

6. select all with spacebar, make sure everything has a checkmark.

7. press restore.

After that is done, restart the system to make a system-wide effect change.

Then in windows 10, search for 'touchpad', windows then should automatically see it, and see if it's enabled there.

(for some reason, overwriting drivers could turn it off, so aditionally make sure u check here).

Also try to install the pen drivers u seen on the lenovo pcsupport website, it contains a small file that is required for touchpad disable / enable once the screen is flipped, perhaps your system is missing it.

- Sincerely yours,

Dyllanvd.
