Can't load XP after a BIOS update

Hi,

I ran the Lenovo update software and it updated my BIOS.

After the restart - the computer wouldn't load. XP tries to load and then there is a brief sec where there is a blue screen (too fast to read what it says) and then the computer restarts again.

When it was updating the BIOS it said it was creating a bios.bak file to backup the old BIOS - how do I revert back to the old BIOS?

Currently in the setup screen it says that the BIOS version is 68ET35WW(V3.03) but I cannot start Windows.(safe mode doesn't work as well)

Any help will be much appreciated.

Re: Can't load XP after a BIOS update

Check your BIOS for an option called "AHCI controller working mode" or "SATA controller working mode" and revert it's settings.

Re: Can't load XP after a BIOS update

I was told by Lenovo support there is no way to revert back to the old BIOS.

Laptop was sent to the lab - should get it back it tomorrow. It's covered in the warranty if that helps.
