Card Reader in n200 crashes when Memory Stick inserted

I'm running a brand new Lenovo 3000 n200 0769-E2G with Windows XP Pro.

My Card reader handles SDcards and XDcards perfectly but when I try and use a Memory Stick (with adapter) it Blue Screen of Deaths the machine.  I've tried re-installing the card reader driver (I also use Lenovo Care and it finds no newer driver) and it's the same.

There's no conflict showing in Device Mgr etc and I'm a bit lost as to what it can be - any help would be great.  All three elements show up in the IDE section - Memory Stick/XD and SD .

Thanks

Re: Card Reader in n200 crashes when Memory Stick inserted

Just to update:

I've now tried uninstalling the Ricoh software for the reader and it still BSODs.

The BSOD reads:-

A problem has been detected.......................

BAD_POOL_HEADER

Here's a screenshot:-

UPDATE 2:

I then tried putting the memory stick into the reader without the Ricoh software installed - the reader recognised the card and installed the driver - then I re-installed the Ricoh software from the Lenovo support site - IT NOW WORKS lol .

I'll leave this on here for anyone to add to or reply as I found no relevant info either here or on the net regarding the BSOD error (it seems bad pool header is pretty generic).
