Have bought Lenovo S/N MP****** Model 80MX laptop and wanted to change RAM to 8GB. Bought:
|Nosaukums||Apacer 1600MHz CL11 DDR3 SODIMM|
|Atmiņas veids||DDR3 (SO-DIMM)|
|Atmiņas apjoms||8 GB|
|Kopnes ātrums (Mhz)||1600|
|Standarta spriegums||1.5 V|
Sorry for not translating but seems voltage is the same 1.5 V. Have no idea. The thing is that I have recycled the old one already.
Have tried 20 sec reset. Have tried to boot wout battery, took out cmos. Nothing. Powrt button green and screen's black.
Maybe RAM is dead? Have no device to check ram.
Moderator note: serial number removed to prevent abuse.

Hello and welcome,
Looking at the specs in the UG, and on a memory-vendor's site (Crucial) your laptop requires DDR3L - low voltage - RAM. That might well be why your 1.5V RAM isn't working.
