External Monitor Problem

I am connecting my Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook to my LCD HDTV via a VGA cable. I used to be able to do it, but now I cannot access "Display Settings" by pressing Fn+F7 or through the Lenovo Care menu. Any suggestions?

Re: External Monitor Problem

Make sure you have the Lenovo graphics driver installed, not one from MS updates. Also, if required are Presentation Director and the HotKey drivers, (in that order). You can find all of them on this site.

Re: External Monitor Problem

Go to Control Panel>Display Properties and try to see if you can enable the second monitor. There should also be an option to force detect it.
