IdeaPad V570 Battery Life

2014-04-26, 9:54 AM

Hi everyone,

I bought my V570 on February 2012 and I think it is an awesome machine. However, I have some trouble with my battery. It is supposed to give around 4 hours, 30 minutes of power but this is no longer the case. When completely charged, the computer tells me that I have around 3 hours of energy. This is not true. I can use it maybe a max of 2 hours before I have to plug it in again (all of this in Energy Star power plan) . What's more, yesterday I saw that it skipped from around 45% to 20% of energy in 2 seconds... What is really weird is that whenever I check for the battery ware it says that it is 0%, and that my current capacity (40130 mWh) exceeds my total capacity (38880 mWh). What is going on with my battery? Is over two years of usage enough and should I get a replacement?
