Can anyone else shed any light on what is happening with this? 
Has anyone else experienced such problems?

I am interested to know how this model has been or other people?

Switch HDD to ATA mode and do the restore again using those CD you receive from Lenovo.. If you receive BSD again write down error cod’s and post them.

Most of them you can find in the net.
