Lenovo 3000 N100 OS product key canceled by Lenovo, new product key for Win Vista Home Premium ?

Our Lenovo stopped connecting to the internet, stopped printing.

The Services files were not working?  No Spooler or dependence were working.

 

lenovo Laptop 3000 N100 Window Vista home Premium came with the laptop.  I have the product codes and the sticker for the OS is still on the Laptop and readable.

 

So Call a support line provided by ISP talked and checked.

 

Win OS product key is bad.  Check with Micro Soft.

Microsoft was great chat, The product key for you Windows OS was turned off by LENOVO.

Please contact them to get a new key.

 

Lenovo Site $$$ or self help?  Hello how do I get a new Product code from Lenovo.

Help?

 

Do they have a help I'm missing?  If they turned it off do they have a way for me to get a new code?

Suggestion on help?

the attached product keys are normally turned off and would require manual activation over the phone when first time using the product key on the bottom of the laptop I have had this issue on other manufactures units just try to activate it with over the phone activation if you run into a problem sometimes microsoft will reactivate the key or give you another key with proof of authenticity which is easy to prove since the key is attached to the bottom of the laptop

Thank you for replying to my post.

 

OK, I give it a try even tho this is a older lap top and it was the Microsoft support that told me it Lenovo had turn off the operating system.

 

Microsoft help told me to contact Lenovo for a new product key because lenovo had turn off the product key.  I can't seem to find a lenovo support to ask for a new product code for the Microsoft Operating system Vista H P.

 

I sure this is a strange question but how do I activate the product Key?  Do I call Microsoft? 

 

Without a operating system I can not activate the product on line like I would a new PC.

keep it disconnected from the internet and if it asks say you want to call microsoft to activate the product if for some reason this doesnt work you may be able to get a good deal to get windows 7 i would absolutely stay away from win 8

Called into the Lenovo help desk for software, Rommel did diagnostic with me and it seem to be a virus.  I have no services files running and no internet connection.

 

With no internet connection it's hard to get a service from Lenovo.

They are will to sell me a one time service for 89.00 and if it's considered major it would go to 129.00.

A one year service agreement would be 179.00 for 3 major and unlimited minor and they would on either of these send me a boot disk. 

 

They did a great Diagnostic work I'm just not sold they can fix my problem.

 

On the command line   ping 127.0.0.1 gets me Unable to initialize windows Socket, error code 10107.

 

Looks like I dead in the water..........

odd but there is somethinf that might be able to fix this have you tried to download with another computer the offline installer for a windows utility called Microsoft Fix it this item might be able to tell ya how to correct it or it may be able to correct the issue you are having itself

Well no help from lenovo with out $$$.  MicroSoft said not us.  AOL Help walked me through a reboot.  Yes the reboot is on the hard drive why did no one else say this?

 

Resue and recovery and it's like it new out of the box.

 

It may need a new harddrive so I need a recovery disk for Lenovo.  How do I get one? ???

Call your areas provider . Recovery set cost around 50 bucks I do believe  since it wouldn't be under warranty.
