Lenovo 3000 N500 KEYBOARD PROBLEM

2014-01-10, 12:20 PM

Hi. I have a Lenovo 3000 N500 laptop with Windows 7 x64 SP1 installed and full updated.

My problem is the keyboard is working with problems. The 2, w, s, x keys not working.

I disconnected and re-connected the laptop cable but nothing happened.

Can you find me a solution?

Hi George,

Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums

I’m sorry to hear that some of the Keyboard keys are not working as expected in your Lenovo 3000 N500. I suggest you check by un-installing the Keyboard driver in the “Device Manager” and restart the computer, If the issue persists even after re-installing the Keyboard driver.

NOTE: To access “Device Manager” click on Windows Key + R to open run window, then type devmgmt.msc and select OK

I would strongly suggest Calling Technical Support to get contact information of nearest Authorized Service center to get the issue analyzed and resolved.

Click here to open a link where you can select the country and get the exact contact support number. I’m sure they will be a great help.

Do post us back for further queries.

Best Regards

Shiva Kumar

Nothing at all!!!

Sadenly I tried these solutions:

1) I tried uninstalling keyboard driver, reboot and then reinstalling.

2) I replaced the motherboard with a used one.

3) I replaced the keyboard with a new one.

4) Boot with Linux live cd. Same problem.

And still nothing happens! :(

Is there possibility, some other hardware on the laptop case mayde faults the keyboard?
