I have a 3000 V100 laptop that worked regularly until 4 months ago, where it stopped charging the battery.
The battery indicator shows it is plugged in, and correctly states 0% available. When I disconnect the AC power it, stops working immediately.
During this period I tried to upgrade my BIOS, and to look for other solutions, assuming it just ended its life, when a few days ago I came across the Lenovo support site.
saw the N100 battery thread (that solved by replacing batteries of computers manufactured on 02/2007), that showed EXACTLY THE SAME SYMPTOMS, and guess what - MY V100 was also manufactured on FEBRUARY 2007....
Here is the FRU: 92P1216, and the S/N has 92P1215
Again -I think it's exactly the N100 battery problem - same symptoms, same manufacturing date, and looks the same.
Can anyone from Lenovo help here?
PS – I opened the same thread and marked it as "solved" by mistake. So I reopened it here – to be able to get help.
