I have a very strange problem with this Lenovo. When you start the windows (7) everything is normal... then you shutdown and start it again (or simply restart it) and sometimes the resolution is back (i don't know) to 640x480 or 800x600 and no Aero, together with that the touch pad (mouse) is not working. In device manager both devices are with yellow marks - not working. If I restart the windows everything is back to normal, this happens around 30-40% of the startups. I've tried all kind of drivers both for the video and the synaptic - but nothing fixed it, and it is really annoying.
I'm waiting for your suggestions because I run out of ideas.
I've searched the net and found similar problems with windows 7 and synaptics for some dell and hp products, some of them are fixed it a newer bios. Can you please tell me how to ask Lenovo (IBM) for a new bios version for this Notebook - I Can not find an email or something to write to the support team, if there is any

I've the same problem with the touchpad. I've installed Synaptics_v14_0_3_C_XP32_Vista32_Win7-32_Signed_default.exe, downloaded from synaptyc web page but the problem does not disappear.
I think that we need an specific driver made by Lenovo, but , when???

I have the Lenovo 3000 N200 0769 also. I installed Win 7 Enterprise 64 bit on a blank HDD & ran it. No problems whatsoever with video or touchpad drivers after installation process completed.

thanks for the hint but i already uninstalled the synaptics drivers and the problem with the touchpad still occurs. actual the automatically installed touchpad drivers are active.
to the video hint: i verified that the basevideo-box is unchecked and it was already unchecked.
and the problems still occur...

I have the same problem on my girlfriend's computer Lenovo N200. I already tried to reinstall whole windows on clean HDD and with special install drivers, but it's still the same. Sometimes, instead of login screen I get black screen, windows are runnig on background, but i see nothing. Sometimes, the touchpad is not working.
I am desperate, that I can not solve this problem. The strangest thing is that sometimes it starts normally and sometimes I had to restart windows more than once. Please help.
