Lenovo V310-15ISK upgrade RAM

I have a Lenovo notebook V310-15ISK type 80SY and I want to upgrade my RAM.What is the maximum memory that can be installed? It has a 4 gb of DDR4-2133 MHz soldered on the motherboard and one open slot for adding additional memory. The hardware manual says 'maximum supported memory'   - 8gb.
Does this mean the most that can be added is 4gb?   or can an 8gb stick be added?

Re: Lenovo V310-15ISK upgrade RAM

Hi Vicentiu11,

Welcome to the Community Forums,

Product specification sheet shows:

16GB max / 2133MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, optional 4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket.

Hardware manual indicates • DDR4-2133 MHz, SODIMM × 1, (max: 4 GB (on board) + 4 GB (on select models))

You can add 8GB on the single slot for a total of 12GB.

A 20GB ram was claimed by a fellow member here (Sausage post 5) saying"  Since then I bought a 16GB stick of 2166MHz ram and my system is happy with full 20GB of ram. "

Hope this helps answer your query.

Regards
