Power Manager version 3.65? Who makes that? What is it for? Lenovo Energy Management is what you should use for power and battery management.

Hi heyarnold, and welcome to the Lenovo User Community!

That app is for ThinkPads. Please uninstall it.

As Duck3 mentioned, you want the Lenovo Energy Management Software, found here:

Really??? what the heck..

because i got the power manager program from the

"Think Vantage Technologies"

Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox 6

version: 6.0.5849.23

Does this mean that the Thinkvantage is also not for my lenovo v570???

I am a bit confuesed....

Correct. ThinkVantage Technologies, including ThinkVantage Toolbox, are for Think systems, and not for Idea.

Tell us how it goes with the right energy management software!

Then this means that i have no point of having the ThinkVantage program installed along with the thinkvantage system update...

Is their a similar software for my Lenovo v570?

Allow me to break in here.

See this thread:

http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-and-Z-series/LTT-Power-Manager-or-Lenovo-Energy-Management-for-IdeaPad-Y470/m-p/605545#M46178

You "can" install the LTT programs, however you "should not" install the Power Manager feature, after the main programs intallation. Use the Energy Management on your 570.

Smart Downloading (Option 3) on the support site detects and installs drivers:

How is your energy management problem?

HeyArnold,

As I explained in the thread above, I use the Lenovo ThinkVantage Toolbox (LTT) on my Y470, All LTT programs work EXCEPT the Power Manager. I think the LTT is a wonderful tool for my laptop, It's a "one stop" machine hardware analyzing tool. It will keep you informed about all hardware, and software changes, by date, you have made on the machine.
