Re: N500 4233 - 5ZG xp sp3

Hello,

the wireless error looks like you are using the INTEL Wifi-Connection Utility. ...and you do have the Broadcom Wifi driver installed. So I´m not wondering that the utility does not work together with the driver.

Deinstall the Broadcom 802.11 g Network Adapter and install the the Intel driver instead

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-70992

or try the driver from the Intel site.

In my opinion the BT-error is also because of the driver. Get detailled info about your BT-device and download the driver on the manufacturers site.

Best regards
Christian

Re: N500 4233 - 5ZG xp sp3

1) You don't have an Intel wireless card. You have a Broadcom wireless card.

2) You don't have a bluetooth module installed on your laptop. That is why the drivers will not install.

Does the device manager have any devices with "!" next to it or any components with drivers not installed?

Go to Start > Run...then type "devmgmt.msc" without the quotes. You could post a screen capture as you did on the first post.

Re: N500 4233 - 5ZG xp sp3

no ...i don't have any devices with "!" ..my device manager it's the same like a screen shot from 1st post!

so i think i solved the problems....

1. i don't have any intel wireless card

2. i don't have any BT device

so i read the model description :

"Original description: Celeron M 575(2GHz), 1GB RAM, 160GB 5400rpm HD, 15.4in 1280x800 LCD, Intel 4500M, CDRW/DVDRW, 802.11bg wireless, Modem, 10/100 Ethernet, Touchpad, 6c Li-Ion"

but  i get confuse when i get the download drv page ..i got drv for BT and intel wireless .

drv donwload link

so ..the problems are solved!.

thank you guys help me a lot  ...i found in this forum a lot of help!

P.S. i forgot to tell ...the laptop / system xp sp3 with last update works wonderfull very pleased with my lap. Smiley Very Happy

Re: N500 4233 - 5ZG xp sp3

Well, Lenovo will usually provide a link to download drivers for components that are available on a specific model. It may offer several configurations of the N500 with different wireless cards and with or without a bluetooth module. They decide to provide all possible drivers within the same model instead of providing a drivers page for every possible configuration.
