Re: N586 & Energy Management

hi

Yes.

When you run the cagt26ww.exe

It decompresses the file and extract it C;/Drivers/Lenovo Energy Management Software 7.0

Then after extraction it should continue to Autorun the Installer inside the C;/Drivers/Lenovo Energy Management Software 7.0

And yes that is the Version of the File it extracted.

The files under C: Drivers are all Back up and extracted Installer files and it is not the program itself.

the Program itself after installation should be located at the folders

   C: Program Files X86 / Lenovo

or

   C: Program Files / Lenovo

Try deleting if ever your find Energy Management in those folders and try deleting any Lenovo energy Management folder under C: Drivers

then try rerunning the Installer again

 Lenovo Energy Management

Version

: 7.0.3.4

Regards

Solid Cruver

Re: N586 & Energy Management

Thanks again, identified and deleted "Energy" folders including two under C:/ProgramData.

Re: N586 & Energy Management

Hi Solid_Cruver, thanks for all the suggestions!

Can we work together again and try a few more things - I'm sure the fix will be easy once we identify what is causing the setup file from running as expected?

Regards

Re: N586 & Energy Management

hi

Im pretty sure the are left over of the program under registry,

im still looking for an application and can check that since the traditional Manual Registry clean up is very crucial and might harm your system.

Re: N586 & Energy Management

Thanks, yes - manually changing the Registry is risky so a safer solution is preferred!

Re: N586 & Energy Management

Hi Lenovo Support

I'm checking in to see if we have some next steps to try and resolve? I'd really like to be able to reinstall Energy Management.

Is there a way to "spook" a reinstall by working around any pre-checks that  the setup makes before installation?

Can the setup be done outside Windows?

Thanks in advance.

Alex
