Re: Product recovery error

Hello, I just create a Lenovo factory recovery USB using the Lenovo USB Recovery Creator, but when a I boot the USB appears a windows desktop screen (with the lenovo logo)  and then this message: "Error when initializing the Recovery Environment. Click [Yes] to try again. Click [No] to exit installation". I have the BIOS updated and in default settings, what can I do?, thanks

Re: Product recovery error

Hi Lenovouser1001,

Welcome to the community forums.

Are you having issues with the Windows and would like to reinstall it? When did you create the USB recovery? Have you tried using the OneKey Recovery option to reset the laptop to its factory settings? If not, please follow the steps on this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht077084 to reset the laptop. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks!

Re: Product recovery error

Actually, I replace my HDD for a SDD that matchs with the FRU specified in the hardware maintenance manual. I create the USB two days ago. Yes, I tried before with the Onekey recovery v.8.1.0.5708 option but when I reinstall it, the OS (W10) comes into a Home Edition but the laptop came with a Pro one. I appreciate your help, please let me know what else can do.

Re:Product recovery error

Well, I've found the solution for me!

I have changed the USB-port from 3.1 to 2.0. It works!

Re:Product recovery error

How am I supposed to do that? All the ports are 3.1

Re:Product recovery error

Aparentemente el problema es que no funciona cuando utilizas una memoria USB 3.0 para generar el medio de restauración.

Luego de dos días de dolores de cabeza y leyendo este hilo, genere el medio de restauración en una memoria USB 2.0 y funcionó!

Re:Product recovery error

Sorry, I answered incorrectly. The point is that I changed the USB Type C port to USB 3.0.
