Re: Ressource conflict - PCI serial bus controller on motherboard

pfrossard, welcome to the forum,

The Hardware Maintainance Manual seems to suggest; loading BIOS defaults (tried), the BIOS battery or the mainboard. The Manual will help you find out how to remove / replace the battery.

Hi,
Thanks about your reply,
I tried to remove the battery, hard and cdrom drive, wifi and memory card,
But nothing works,
What do you think about bios battery ?
Tha manual don't talk about bios battery ...
Thanks.

Re: Ressource conflict - PCI serial bus controller on motherboard

err umm, strange. Does it have a BIOS battery?  Good question Emoticono sorprendido (referred to usually in the manuals as Backup battery).
It mentions a backup battery in the symptom / failure sections, even says "charge backup battery for 8 hours" ?? But a Backup battery is definitely not shown in the parts list, that is new to me!

Hi,
Before my question,
I searched about this problem in this forum and web,
Some identical question but no reply ....

Where is the Lenovo customer support ?

I'am not the final customer,
I'am an Helpdesk Engineer,
I must find a quick solution ...

Welcome to the forum!

Some Lenovo employees do read and post to this forum.  Mark is quite active, and several others post as well.  In addition, there are lurkers who just read without making public comments although sometimes they ask the mod team to either gather more information or pass along advice.

However, here are the expectations of their participation from the Welcome message:

These communities have been created to provide a high quality atmosphere in which users of Lenovo products and services may share experiences and expertise. While members from Lenovo may participate at intervals to engage in the discussions and offer advice and suggestions, this forum is not designed as a dedicated and staffed support channel.

The bottom line is there's no guarantee that you will get an answer to a question here directly from Lenovo.

On the other hand, you just might!  ;-)

I made a couple of phone calls this morning, and hopefully wasn't wasting my time, and have learnt that the BIOS battery should be under the keyboard.
