Turning of the LED diods

Hey, I would like to ask. Can I switch off the LED diod for caps lock; num lock? (maybe for the charging and so on?

At night it disturbs me. Thanks for advices.

/ No switch it off manually, I'm asking for permament solution. thanks.

Hi Weetek,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

As most laptops, indicator leds are power status indicators communicating directly on the board circuit so it is not made to switch off. For the caps and num lock, it would be similar as they are also diagnostic tool for a healthy power on self test.

 

Other than to physically desolder / bust the led, you can try tore assign its key to an unused key with rebinding tools like autohotkey or sharpkey. Some just consider taping it or simply painting it with a dark nail polish.
