Re: Using a digital projector

Having used DELL for years I have been able to Fn F8 to toggle between my laptop screen / digital projector only / laptop screen and digitalprojector. I need this for mywork presenting PowerPoint presentations

What a shame I cannot do the same with the Fn F7 facility on my 3000 laptop. I have linked the projector to the laptop changed the display properties and can only get the background screen and none of the controls, programmes , see the mouse icon etc. when I click Fn F7 the digital projector picture disapears and can only be returned if I go back to display properties

what am I doing wrong or do I have a duff laptop??

Re: Using a digital projector

Try 2 things:

1) Clone display in laptop and projector, all that controls here shows same on projector

2) Extended display (shows blank desktop), run presentation, restore, drag from laptop to projector desktop and maximize there, I do this method for videos

3000 N200 0769-AL3, Intel C2D 2G T5750, IEL10 mb, Kingston 4G RAM, Samsung 320G HD, Broadcom lan 100, Agere modem 56k, Broadcom wifi g, AuthenTec fingerprint reader, Sonix 1.3M camera, LG DVD burner, Samsung 15,4" 1280x800 BrightView, Intel X3100 IGD 384M, Ricoh 5in1, Ricoh 1394, vista home premium sp2

Re: Using a digital projector

1. I set all properties alike. Is that clone?

2. I use Danish language and I don't understand 'presentation' - is it identification?,

and restore? - I didn't find anything like that?

I am using a second monitor for test at the moment.

On my Fujitsu I just need to set the videocard choice as 'Multiple monitors'.

Here I am only allowed to choose either

1. Primary monitor, or

2. Secondary monitor.

Does this explain anything?

thanks for your help.
