V330 Replacing non-backlit keyboard with backlit one

Hi Lenovo,

I bought a V330 in VietNam, and the keyboard is a non-backlit one. Then I want to replace it with a backlit keyboard, but when I aksed the warranty centre here, they asked me to confirm that whether my computer is availabe with the backlit keyboard or not.

My MTM: 81AX00MCVN.

Please help me to confirm that I could replace my non-backlit keyboard with the backlit one.

Re: V330 Replacing non-backlit keyboard with backlit one

Hi Ethan_Le,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Checking parts lookup for your systemboard would show that it may be possible to place a backlit since you have a port for that in the board (encircled yellow on image below).

We just need to have this port checked first if this is electrically active since it was originally intended without backlit keyboard.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Re: V330 Replacing non-backlit keyboard with backlit one

Thank you so much for your information, I will take note for checking whether the port is electrically avaiable or not when I'm going to replace the backlit keyboard.

And we're back...
