I confirm that after one week the laptop is freezing again. My patience is over, i am going to back it to the shop.

Never more Lenovo.

Hello all,

 

I'm joining the thread to see if there's a solution. I've on Win10 home, i3-7100u, 4gb ram and it freezes up with and without the power supply, even when browsing eBay/ basic university intranet pages. It has also frozen on me while using Microsoft office. 

 

The laptop was stationary on my on my desk while the freezes occurred. It freezes at a rate of 3-5 times a day and it's absolutely infuriating.

 

I've tried doing a factory reset, returning it to the seller and replacing with a new one in case the previous was a dud; but the freezing problems persist. 

 

I'm in Hong Kong and bought the laptop here. The power supply is a very steady 220v ac, at 50-60hz. So it's not just a 110v ac adapter problem, if power is the issue here.

 

Lenovo, get on this issue please!

I have returned mine for repairs and they have ordered a new motherboard for replacement. I shall keep you posted with the results.

Yes,

The BIOS update did NOT fix the issue.
Most of the people of this thread had tried it, but without success.

Same here. Having V310-15IKB, freezes as others described. Nothing but hard reset of computer helps, no errors in event log. Runnign Windows 10/64bit. My computer was sent to service center because of faulty main battery, after I got laptop back with battery fixed, computer started to freezes, from first moment, on factory-reset OS. I updated to latest BIOS from 17.7., didn't help. 

 

I contacted Lenovo service center, I must say it is worst service, I experienced ever, and I am sure any of my future computers are not going to be Lenovo. I performed hardware test by Lenovo utility, adviced by service center, no fault/problem detected, and they still keep saying sending computer again to service center is only way and its hardware problem.  

 

Occurence of freezes is very random in my case, sometimes it happens 5 times a day, sometimes 3 days without one freeze. 

 

Also, I noticed, that sometimes, immidietly before freeze, computer screen blinks - once it even became black.

 

Also, if I go under HDD mode in BIOS to choose AHCI/RST,  which is currently set to AHCI mode and I choose RST, appears warning dialog with saying that I will lost data and YES/NO option. When I choose "NO" BIOS freezes completly and nothing but pushing power button helps (I didnt tried to choose YES so far..). Can others confirm this behaviour ? May be that could be a lead... or other bug.

Lui_Sir, you already the second who suggests to update Bios after already all have made it. Also have reported that it hasn't helped. What else can Lenovo's technical support  recommend?
