Was this machine purchased from a retailer.  I mean - not direct from Lenovo?

 

This is often the case if a machine sits in inventory, since the warranty starts with date of manufacture.

 

Call support.  Be prepared to email a proof of purchase.  It can take some time for this to get sorted.

Hello , 

 

If you have POP ( proof of purchase ) which shows the pucrhase date  that you got from retailer when you are buying. Then you need to contact with Local Lenovo Customer Care to upgrade your warranty status. Please note : Warranty issue can be changed from country to country according to goverment rules. For more details communicating with CC is better option.
