The OneLink solution have HDMI output only but no DisplayPort. This is probably good when targets more consumer oriented Egde series but for ThinkPad classic makes the docking solution useless. Professional monitors (NEC, Eizo) have dual DVI and DisplayPort inputs only (no HDMI).
Does it mean that the same OneLink dock will appear for furure ThinkPad classic as the only docking solution ?

Hi,
I am considering buying top speced thinkpad yoga and use it also as a desktop. As one link dock has only 1 video out I could change my dual monitor setup to one 29'' ultrawide or one 27'' 2560x1444 monitor, but I am worried about maximum supported resolution from hdmi. Otherwise that would be step back in that regard from usb 3.0 dock, which unfortunately would not charge connected laptop

After more research it looks like usb dock won't support 2560 either as it requires display port out.
Good news is that USB 3 docking stations from hp and fujitsu do support display port out.
