Ummm ... they forgot the Wacom digitizer.  A clear fail for an 8" device that relies primarily on a pen as an inpuit device.

Question: Why is this called Thinkpad? I see no reference to the brand anywhere, neither in the design nor in the features.

Full PC experience means for me I can run Linux on it. True?

cheers

I don't think that's been announced yet, puppy.

When I first started to read all of the features of this device I was very impressed.

Intel Z3770, 1920x1200 IPS display, micro USB 3.0, micro HDMI, micro SD, aluminium body, etc.

Unfortunately, all of this was completely ruined when I found out there was no active digitizer / stylus.

I'm posting here to express my disappointment that such a crucial feature was left out of a device designed for productivity (especially one that utilizes an 8-inch display). Hopefully Lenovo will be sure to include this vital feature in future ThinkPad devices.

The ThinkPad 8 was almost perfect, but it manages to fall short in a big way.

They better rename it as Thinkblet. Looking on the title, I thought this is a new Thinkpad laptop.

Bronsky,

I did check and this is touch only - no active digitizer.

Thanks for checking Mark.  I would have already ordered one of these if it only had a Wacom digitizer.  It would have been a perfect companion to my X301.

Could Lenovo explain the situation with WWAN option (LTE) availability please ? It seems as there is no ThinkPad 8 tablet configuration with WWAN module at all.

I'd like also point out that 4G/LTE is not US-specific technology only. There are other continents already covered and LTE devices (chips) are available as well.
