Re: The new ThinkPad Yoga

You might be right, but I've seen it advertised at about every possible weight, so some confirmation would be nice. I've seen "less than 1.5kg", 1.58kg, and 2.8lbs. I'm still hoping at least the first one is true.

Here some screenshots to highlight the confusion. It's probably 1.58kg (spec sheet) = 3.48lbs (display model). Unfortunately that means it's not less than 1.5kg, and most certainly not 2.8lbs. Still, I hope someone can clarify this once and for all.

I'm waiting to see what configurations will be and the pricing of them for the TPY 14. I am also assuming tht TPY 14/15 DONT  have silo's for the Pens. From that photo the pens look large and like the MS Surface Pro are not chambered into the body of the machine :-(

Also, I agree that the TPY will most likely be the same old TPY 12 as before but a different trackpad component.

Here are the display model specs cards:

TP Yoga 12

TP Yoga 14

TP Yoga 15

The 12 and 15 display models had backlit keyboards, while the 14 was not equipped as such (or it wasn't working).

Cheers.

Also,  if anyone is interested, the User Manuals for the new 14 and 15 Yoga Thinkpads are posted in the Support section.  I just had a peek at the manual for the 15.  :)

I don´t know for sure, but I bet its the same as the old Yoga 12 - as the new one is a update of the old one with the same chassis/screen/keyboard, with TrackPoint buttons...

So apart from the new CPU and the return of the trackpoint buttons, do you know of any differences between the new Yoga 12 and the original TP Yoga?

I'm also curious how much of difference the new (max) CPU option will make on performance and battery life.

Re: The new ThinkPad Yoga

Does anyone know when the new yoga thinkpad s1 12,5"  with I5 5th gen. will be entered in the European market as soon as the American?

I have quite a hurry to get one and I say the products will be available for the beginning of February. But these unique to the US market or even the Italian / European Lenovo Shops ?

Someone let me know because I would like to understand what normally happens with the new products of lenovo and if there is a time lag between the markets for the output of the product or whether the outgoing is in the two markets simultaneously.

Does anyone know?

Thanks in Advance,

Giuseppe

Re: The new ThinkPad Yoga

Can anyone confirm that the thinpad yogas currently on Lenovo.com are the new models?  I just placed an order and would like to confirm that the 12inch I purchased is indeed the new model.  Are there any identifying traits I can check to make sure?  Any help is appreciated.

5th Gen i5 processor
New trackpad
I doubt the new ones are available. You will most likely get the current generation.

Also, you would have a ton of options for customization. Right now there is few because of the old model.

Does anyone think that there's a chance that the new trackpad will be able to be swapped in for the old one (assuming they're physically the same size and have the same electrical connectors)? Maybe it can be ordered as a FRU in the near future?
