I ordered yesterday...i7 4600...wondering if I should cancel and wait for the new one...any idea what other differences there are?  From some threads it seems that the chasis and mother board screen... are all the same on teh 12 inch???

Does the 14 inch really come with Activepen?

Lenovo UK does not state anything but it does have for the 12 and 15 models

Here are the display model specs cards:

TP Yoga 14

TP Yoga 15

The 12 and 15 display models had backlit keyboards, while the 14 was not equipped as such (or it wasn't working).

Cheers.

I would hope they all come with backlit keyboards.

The 12" version was affected by few issues

1) LCD ghosting, i.e. a certain LG panel;

2) Generally a strong matting surface, blurring the image; helps against reflections and also the pen friction, yet it compromised the IQ.

3) the i7 with 8GB DRAM got very hot.

Were these issues fixed?

Now that CES is over maybe all these threads can be moved to the approprate device forums. I'm hoping that will also speed up the responses.

"Now that CES is over maybe all these threads can be moved to the approprate device forums. I'm hoping that will also speed up the responses. "

+1: these threads seem orphaned here, lacking the pre-sales & tech support expected from premium/business products.

Is the 2nd generation TP Yoga really fixing and improving on their predecessors? Screen, image quality, thermal mgnt, performance, battery, etc.?

We'd expect it from a >1.6Kg premium convertible costing on average north of 1K$ and using Intel's 5th generation i3-7/Core processors.

No such high expectations from arguably competing products costing 50-70% less, e.g. a positively reviewed entry-level win8 convertible with pen from Medion (EU/UK)

Anyone hear of expected release dates? Speculation/rumour or factual?

interesting, i wasn't aware...
Medion often has some well designed entry-level products, keenly priced. They deserve perhaps more recognition than just "i bought a laptop/tablet from Aldi... it was between bread and the fresh produce shelves..." :-)
