Re: Lenovo Legion Y27gq Monitor

the cable is fine. i tested it.
sure i can enter the bios...with my dell s271dg. everything is running fine with the dell on the first displayport and the lenovo on the second. but the lenovo stops my pc from booting when its connected to the first displayport as a primary monitor.
disabling fast boot doenst help.

Re: Lenovo Legion Y27gq Monitor

well I'm not sure if its just the GPU. Friend suddently started having problems with the Nitro XV273KP (4k 144hz) monitor when he purchased the 2080 super.

Afaik no boot (black screen but fans running) if both display port cables were set in. However it worked with the 1 cable setup and he could seat in the 2nd cable after the boot.

Must be something weird going on with the super cards? He got it sorted out after this though, as it seemed to boot just fine today...

Re: Lenovo Legion Y27gq Monitor

thats very interesting. thank you for sharing this info.

my first thought was: there has to be a problem with the 2080 super and gsync v2 maybe. but the monitor of your friend doesnt have gsync v2.

ill send an email to MSI and lenovo and ask them about that problem.

Re: Lenovo Legion Y27gq Monitor

i noticed that the fan is running at full speed if you set the refresh rate at 240 hz. its very loud.
its much quieter at 200hz and barely noticeable at 60 hz. the less hz, the quieter it gets.
i dont unterstand why the fan is even running at low refresh rates, no gsync and no hdr. makes no sense.
even at high refresh rates the back of the monitor is not more than lukewarm and the fan is running like hell.

Re: Lenovo Legion Y27gq Monitor

Will this ever come out in North America?

I'm considering just buying the HP Omen 1440p 240hz because it's actually available.
