Lenovo Connected Home Security

2020-01-03, 10:29 AM

  • An innovative cloud-based solution via Lenovo Vantage that allows users to monitor the security of the smart devices connected to their home network, including smartphones and other IoT devices, by use of a Lenovo consumer PC, or Android tablet.
  • Lenovo Connected Home Security is expected to be available to U.S. English-speakers for free via the latest consumer version of Vantage to owners of Lenovo-branded PCs running Windows 10, such as, Yoga devices, IdeaCentre, and IdeaPads.

‘Smarter’ Attributes

  • In near real-time, Lenovo Connected Home Security (CHS) alerts free and paid users to potential security vulnerabilities, such as network hacking and phishing attacks, discovered by our technology partners at Coronet and offers Vantage users best practices to stay protected in the future.
  • With cyber-hacks on the rise, IoT devices can be at risk of remote access by criminals searching for online vulnerabilities and weak password protection. Lenovo Connected Home Security is a monitoring software service designed to keep Lenovo PC and tablet customers, their families, and their smart devices and home networks—much safer.

Details

  • Connected Home Security is just one tool in a set of smarter privacy and security features available through Lenovo Vantage that are readily accessible and destined to benefit smart device users with a home network.
  • This next-level partnership with Coronet means Lenovo is doing its duty to create a safer environment for you and your family to enjoy their PCs and smart devices without fear of phishing attempts and hacker attacks.
  • Works for any device (laptop, phone, tablet) that a CHS user has connected to their CHS account and is either running Lenovo Vantage or is currently connected to a specific WiFi network identified by the CHS user.
  • Even after 30-day trial has ended, all devices running Lenovo Vantage that a user has connected to their CHS account are protected. They simply cannot access CHS software’s management console until they purchase a subscription. CHS users have the option of adding multiple WiFi networks to their account.

NA Pricing & Availability

  • After 30-day free trial, users wanting to also monitor any non-Lenovo Internet of Things (IoT) devices on their home network, plus any smart devices connected to a family-related network (e.g. their parents’ house), need only pay $29.99 per year/per family for a full-license via the online Lenovo Vantage Store.
