A colleague of mine wants to bypass the factory tests from the RMA Shim by powerwashing the device after the serial has been updated. What does the Google Required Tests do that reloading the OS via powerwash does not? I have seen in testing that doing this leaves developer mode forced on, but that can be resolved via command line. Are there any other risks in doing this?

Go into the command line wile device is in developer mode.

Yes, that's the command I had in mind. That's useful info for someone else that has Dev mode forced on. Do you happen to know if there are other processes performed by the RMA Shim that would not be performed by bypassing finalization (and other tests) with a powerwash and then running this command?
