Chromebook Flex 5 CB-13IML05 problem

power on, CHROME white screen flashes on for 2 or 3 seconds, same with sign on screen, repeats a couple time, and then to black screen.

1. Test the external display to see if the external display has similar conditions to determine whether the fault is caused by the host part or the screen head part. 2. The external display is normal, please re-plug and fix the screen cable interfaces on both sides, and check whether the cable routing at the screen axis may be squeezed and interfered by other components. 3. The above operation is invalid, replace the LCD screen to test, if the failure phenomenon disappears, the LCD screen is faulty, and the fault still exists is basically a screen line problem. 4. If the external display also has a similar failure, you need to consider updating the graphics card driver, Flash plug-in or restoring the system.

Thanks for posting here at the Community Forums!

 

Try to press and hold the Chromebook Flex 5's Power button first for like 10 to 15 seconds until it turns OFF.

Once done, press the Power button again to turn it ON and see if it will now work.

 

If not, please click on this link to see the steps on how you can reset your Chromebook's hardware itself.

 

And as to what @arya13 has also mentioned, please try connecting the Chromebook Flex 5 into an external monitor as well and see if it will show something on the screen.
