Chromebook Random shutdown

Ideapad Flex 5 CB 13IML05

Serial ******

Manufacture Date 21/12/2020

Machine has started randomly shutting down, can be anytime it will show shutdown overlay then button presses itself and closes down.

Not sure if connected but when putting in password, the number 3 types 8 random numbers

Disconnected battery in case battery was faulty, still same running purely on main power.

Cant access long enough to get data /pics off machine and would really like to keep them

Dont want to powerwash or restiore without getting data off.

Anyone seem similar, does appear hardware and fatal.

Re:Chromebook Random shutdown

Hi Bowmar, thanks for reaching our community.

Were there any recent updates installed or changes prior to this issue?
Please check the key if it's near the power button, there could be a stuck key or the power button is stuck itself.
Try cleaning it then check if you have same issue.

Thanks,
Arjay_Lenovo
