Lenovo S330, Unsable wifi when bluetooth is enabled

When Bluetooth is switched off, everything is fine. This is a great machine. But when I turn on the bluetooth and whether I connect/not connect any bluetooth devices, the internet becomes so slow that it is barely usable. Can't even stream youtube videos at 720p on a 100mbps connection. I am facing the same issue the people with C330 are facing. I am unable to use bluetooth devices with this machine. There is just a single usb 3 available which I use for storage expansion.
How do we contact lenovo asking for a fix?

Re: Lenovo S330, Unsable wifi when bluetooth is enabled

Hi JackFrost007,

Thanks for using the Community Forums to get support. Let's try some things to diagnose and troubleshoot this issue. Things to try:

1. Check for system updates. If any updates are available, install them. Then, restart and test.
2. If connected to a 2.4 GHz band WiFi, try connecting to the 5 GHz band and test.
3. Access the router settings and change the wireless channel to 11, 8 or 6. Check if the issue persists

Let us know how things go.

Re: Lenovo S330, Unsable wifi when bluetooth is enabled

I tried your instructions but it does not solve the issues.

I tested the device with various scenarios and found this :

Bluetooth off: good speeds

Bluetooth on with only 1 device [mouse] paired and connected, not searching for other unpaied devices : good speeds [Device is mouse]

Bluetooth on with only 1 device paired [headphones] and connected, not searching for other unpaied devices : LOW speeds [Device is headphones]

Bluetooth on with 1 device paired[mouse] and connected, searching for other unpaied devices : low speeds

Bluetooth on with 0 paied devices, not searching for unpaied devices : good speeds

Bluetooth on with 0 paied devices, searching for unpaied devices : low speeds

Bluetooth on with 2 devices paired but not connected : low speeds

Bluetooth on with 2 devices paired but one connected : low speeds

What we can infer here is :

Speeds fall when bluetooth is searching for devices [thus using power].
Speeds fall when headphones is connected irrespective of bluetooth search/ pairing status. [headphones using more power than mouse?]
Speeds do not fall when mouse is the only device paired and connected and not searching for others.
Speeds fall when bluetooth is searching for paired or unpaired devices or when it is paired to 2 devices whether connected/not, searching/not.

Maybe because the bluetooth and wifi adapters are on the same chip, this is a power issue. Can you push a software fix or push a button to stop bluetooth search.
