Hi, I'm runnig a N20p CB since 2015 ... always very satisfied with performance. 2 weeks ago it came up with "Chrome OS is missing ..." error on startup. Tried recovery with 2 different USB sticks: every runs as expected (preparation of recovery stick, CB is recognising stick, trying to reinstall OS, removing stick, reboot) but error will not be solved and bootong does not proceed.
Preesing "TAB" shows "0x5b no bootable kernel found on disk", dev_boot_usb and dev_boot_legacy are both set to 0.
Suppose it could be a SSD problem (boot sector corrupt?), but SSD is fixed on the mainboard. Did not activate developer mode befor error occured ...
Is there any other way of accessing the system:
- flash new BIOS
- repair SSD without repairing OS first
- boot from USB with different OS
Thanks for any support!

First of all, we're very sorry about what happened. Based on what you have explained, looks like you already did most of the troubleshooting steps to fix this issue. However, this could be a clear hardware malfunction with the laptop. It would be best to bring the laptop to a service provider https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht118678?CID=ww:lenovosocial:20x9m6 (filter by country/city) and inquire about a complete diagnosis/repair service.
